The Project – Queens and Brood

Past Event

January 13, 7:00 – 9:00pm

Q&A Session 6:45pm
The Point (at C. C. Young Campus)
4847 W. Lawther Dr, Dallas, TX

Join us for this month’s meeting featuring DB Van Gilder and friends discussing his new endeavor called “The Project”.  In his own words:

How much better would your beekeeping experience be if you had immediately available laying queens and plenty of sealed brood?
Jerry Alcorn, Bob Richie and DB Van Gilder are developing a system, built on established successful methods, which will produce hundreds of queens, free to club members. We call this The Project. We will explain queen production, mating and “storage”. How “brood farming” is a natural product which will strengthen your hives. We will also show several types of wood ware to accommodate the individual beekeeper.
This can make a big difference in your bee keeping experience so make sure YOU ARE THERE!
The Q&A Session starts at 6:45. Come early to get your beekeeping questions answered by our more experienced members in a more informal setting. Also, we will have  Alan Eynon with our monthly “In the Hive”.

All meetings are held on the second Tuesday of every month and are free and open to the public. You’re encouraged to attend even if you don’t know anything about beekeeping–it’s a great chance to see what it’s all about!
