Making Splits and More

Past Event

March 10, 7:00 – 9:00pm

Q&A Session 6:45pm
The Point (at C. C. Young Campus)
4847 W. Lawther Dr, Dallas, TX

Stan Key, past president of Metro Beekeepers in Fort Worth, will talk to us about splitting hives. Whether it’s for increasing how many hives you have, or for making more honey, Stan has a lot of advice and experience to share on how to split your hives.  Stan also runs his own bee equipment business, and will tell us a little about other opportunities in beekeeping in addition to making honey.

The Q&A Session starts at 6:45. Come early to get your beekeeping questions answered by our more experienced members in a more informal setting. Also, we will have  Alan Eynon with our monthly “In the Hive” and Christi Baughman with the “Bee Plant of the Month”.

All meetings are held on the second Tuesday of every month and are free and open to the public. You’re encouraged to attend even if you don’t know anything about beekeeping–it’s a great chance to see what it’s all about!
