June Meeting: Movie Night
June 14, 2016, 7:00 – 9:00 pm
Q&A Session 6:45pm
The Point (at C. C. Young Campus)
4847 W. Lawther Dr, Dallas, TX
Join us for our annual movie night featuring a popular documentary about the importance of pollinators (especially honeybees!) to the world’s food supply. Come enjoy the film and snacks in the cool air conditioning.
As always, our meeting will feature a Q&A Session starting at 6:45. Come early to get your beekeeping questions answered by our more experienced members in a more informal setting. Also, we will have Alan Eynon with our monthly “In the Hive” presentation about what your bees are up to and what you, the beekeeper, should be doing this month. We will also have a quick summary of the results from our member survey, so if you’re curious to know more about your fellow club members and their interests, this is your chance to find out!
All meetings are held on the second Tuesday of every month and are free and open to the public. You’re encouraged to attend even if you don’t know anything about beekeeping–it’s a great chance to see what it’s all about!
If you’re looking for even more beekeeping experiences, please note that there are still spaces available for the Texas Beekeepers Association’s summer clinic next weekend. There will be seminars for beekeepers of all levels, vendors and exhibitors with the latest beekeeping gear, plus featured speaker Ross Conrad, author of Natural Beekeeping. Several TV Bees members will be attending. This will be a fun, hands-on learning experience for any beekeeper! The clinic is Saturday, June 18, from 9 am – 4:30 pm at the Lone star Convention Center in Conroe. For more information and to register, go to http://texasbeekeepers.org.
