August 9, 2016, 7:00 – 9:00 pm
Join us for our annual honey tasting! We will sample a variety of honey, discuss the range of flavors, and talk about ways to use honey when cooking. This meeting is always a crowd-pleaser, and you won’t want to miss it! If you have honey to share, please bring a small jarwith you to the meeting. The more varieties of honey we have, the more fun! No honey? No worries! Feel free to bring a small snack that pairs well with honey, such as cheese, mild crackers, or fruit, and get your taste buds ready!
PLUS we will have a few TV Bees T-shirts for sale; if you ordered a shirt, it has arrived! Elizabeth, Sharon, Dusty, Jim, Rob, and Mimi, please bring $20 cash or check to pick up your shirt. If you didn’t order a shirt but do want one, we have extra shirts in white or navy, so you can grab one at the meeting.
The Q&A Session starts at 6:45. Come early to get your beekeeping questions answered by our more experienced members in a more informal setting. Also, we will have our “Bee Plant of the Month” and Alan Eynon with our monthly “In the Hive” to refresh your memory of the beekeeping seasons. See you there! The Point at C.C. Young Campus

Additional News: We are planning a two-session seminar this fall for prospective beekeepers to help decide whether you are ready to take the plunge next spring! We will discuss the seminar at the meeting and post further details here on the website and in our email newsletter as plans finalize, so keep an eye out. Also please check in here on the website and in your TV Bees email newsletter for upcoming events and volunteer opportunities. We update the online calendar as events come up, and we will post more details as volunteer opportunities arise. We have several events coming up this fall including PARK(ing) Day Dallas, Texas State Fair, Greenfest Dallas, Coppell Wild Sundays, and the Texas Beekeepers Association annual convention.
