The Point at C. C. Young, 4847 W. Lawther Dr., Dallas (map)

Join us for our June monthly meeting! The main meeting starts at 7 and will feature club announcements, Bee Plant of the Month, Book of the Month, In the Hive beekeeping current events for June, snacks, door prizes and our main presentation. Longtime TVBA member Jerry Alcorn will be speaking to us about summer hive management.

Jerry is a long-time beekeeper and a participant in the Texas Master Beekeeping program. He will be sharing some great tips on how to help your bees to maximize their productivity this time of year. As always, our monthly meeting is free and open to the public. Visitors are always welcome to come and see what beekeeping is all about!

This month we will also have a brief pre-meeting presentation by TVBA member John Wright. This month’s “Trophallaxis in the Theater” presentation about wildlife gardening is free and open to the public. At the May meeting we were treated to a special “Plant of they Month” in which we saw some of the great bee plants growing in John and Elaine White’s Urban Wildlife Garden.

There were several additional questions about his garden, and it was clear that he had a lot more to say if we’d had the time. So, back by popular demand, John will be talking about creating a bee-friendly urban wildlife garden including setup, layout, and plant selection.

Want to help out at a meeting? We are always looking for folks to bring snacks and give brief talks on bee plants and books. Click here to see openings and sign up –> TVBA sign up lists

How to find us: Go in the main entrance at The Point and turn left. The main meeting and Q&A session are held in the large meeting room which is the first room on your left. Pre-meeting presentations are held in the small theater at the end of the same hallway, also on the left side. See you there!
