Trinity Valley Beekeepers Association will be offering a 6-part “Beekeeping For Beginners” series for 2018. Fees are further discounted for Trinity Valley members ($125/$25), so please consider becoming a member. Classroom classes will be held at Trinity Haymarket.

Our first classroom class will focus on apiary concerns such as site selection and setup, bee population densities, forage availability, as well as providing additional information on equipment choices and other decisions that need to be addressed before you get your bees.
Recommended reading material for this series is “The Beekeeper’s Handbook” by Diana Sammataro and/or “First Lessons in Beekeeping” by C.P. Dadant.

A great selection of beekeeping equipment, as well as these books, will be available for purchase at Trinity Haymarket, so be sure to plan some time to shop while you’re there. Also, consider sticking around for their 1pm class, “What Is Permaculture?” (https://www.facebook.com/events/1384102618382708/).
